We are all energy beings. The choices we make each day either give us energy or steal it away. We only have a finite amount of energy before it runs out and we cannot function properly.
Then our productivity goes out the window and we’re left just spinning our wheels.
We can find ourselves being busy but not very efficient, or getting exhausted and needing more downtime to recuperate.
The more you are aware of this fact, the more you can take measures to build energy throughout the day and avoid energy vampires.
Energy optimization starts in the morning
As soon as you get up, you should open your blinds and let in as much sunlight as possible. It’s recommended to get at least 15 minutes of exposure to charge every single cell in your body.
Sunlight is the most optimal light for all living creatures and will boost your immunity and energy levels that you will need throughout the day.
Use that same 15 minutes more efficiently by meditating at the window in the sunlight.
There are countless benefits of meditation which include sharpened intuition, clarity of mind, and more creativity.
If there’s minimal sunlight in your area, you can buy a S.A.D (seasonal affective disorder) lamp that will mimic the spectrum of the sun for this purpose.
I recommend utilizing the Wim Hof breathwork next to kick your energy production into overdrive.
I’ve tried many different pranayamas before and this one by far is the best one of them all.
There are many forms of breathwork for different things.
Some relax you, some give you energy, some take you out of fight or flight mode, boost your immunity, etc.
This one does them all and then some! Plus, you have an amazing sense of euphoria after because you actually release traces of DMT when you do it.
This method is great to use throughout the day anytime you need a quick energy boost or mental clarity. Aim for 3 rounds for maximum benefits.
This should be followed up by some sort of movement practice. 15-20 minutes is all you need.
Either yoga, a short workout, or stretching, etc is super beneficial for energy production.
When your body starts moving, you deliver more and more oxygen to your brain and body via the circulatory system.
This helps you feel more awake, alert, and ready to go!
Plus you start to release endorphins, the feel-good hormones, and B.D.N.F,(brain-derived neurotrophic factor) which is like miracle grow for your brain.
What not to do first thing in the morning
Make sure your electronic devices are off or on airplane mode and your router is off as well while you sleep.
The harmful emf’s coming from them are huge energy vampires and is one of the hidden reasons why you need more sleep to recuperate.
Also do not start reading emails and scrolling social media when you first get up.
This is a huge energy drain for the brain and it’s like taking a sport’s car from 0 to 60mph without any fuel in the tank.
There’s also a real thing called decision fatigue and you will waste your precious decision-making abilities doing this.
Having a good life is about making intelligent choices. Don’t waste your choices on mundane things that will not improve your life.

Use of grounding to release built up in charge
Are you aware of the science of grounding? Biologically, we have more protons than electrons in our system.
Over time, this excess in protons builds up and can make us sick. These symptoms manifest themselves in the form of stress, anxiety, and low energy.
Furthermore, it’s compounded by us always wearing shoes that insulates us from the earth almost 24/7.
The minute you feel overwhelmed by stress, you should stop what you’re doing and go ground yourself.
At least once a day, you should go outside and touch the natural ground with your bare feet to release this excess in charge.
Movement makes the energy flow
Never stop moving for long periods of time. We are energy beings and therefore, cannot be in a static position for too long.
If left unchecked, this will cause blockages in our systems. This results in a toxic build-up in fluids, and inflammation of joints and organs.
If you are stagnant for prolonged periods of time, this eventually leads to disease.
That’s why your risk for all diseases is much higher if you live a sedentary lifestyle.
Try not to be in the same position for more than 30 minutes at a time.
This includes sitting, standing, or laying down. If you have to work at a desk, try the Pomodoro technique.
Set an alarm for 25 minutes with a microbreak of 5 minutes in between.
Then get up to stretch, walk around or do some brief exercises to reset your nervous and energy systems on the microbreaks. It’s a great productivity hack as well.
It’s also a good idea to alternate from sitting to standing while working at your computer every 25-30 min.
If you don’t have a standing desk, get creative. A box on a table works just as well. Look around you and see what else can be put together to make a standing desk.
Finally, your body is very efficient and will cut out any range of motion if you do not use them for a long time.
Throughout the day, try to incorporate squats, hangs, lunges, and bends in every direction to keep supple like a leopard.
It’s also best to include a few regular movement practices like working out, yoga, tai chi, etc, during the week for maximum benefits.
Use of Anti-blue blocking glasses to prevent eye fatigue
In addition to emf’s, there is another problem with electronics.
Try to limit the time that you are on all screens. They are too blue on the light spectrum.
It is a form of light pollution for your eyes because they are constantly trying to filter that junk light out when you stare at the screen.
This makes you feel tired, lethargic, and needing more rest. It has also been shown that blue light hinders our body’s melatonin production.
This reduces sleep quality and disrupts your sleep cycle. Luckily for those of us who make a living in front of screens, there are hacks for that.
You can get premium blue-blocking glasses from Ra-Optical. I find their glasses are of the highest quality lenses and materials that actually block out 100% of the harmful blue rays. Unlike most ones on the market that are subpar at best. Use my code here to get 10% off your pair of glasses at Ra – Optical.
There is also a free program called f.lux that automatically calibrates your computer’s light settings to minimize this effect.

Lastly, the iPhone and most cell phones have a night setting on them to automatically adjust this for you.
Just look in your settings. Further measures against the harmful effects of electronic devices can be read in my article here
Be aware of toxins in your environment
Are there ways you can improve your surroundings?
Is the temperature too hot/cold, is there too much noise, are there toxic people, chemicals, light around, etc?
Always be changing and readjusting your environment to eliminate toxins or to improve your well-being.
This will also boost your energy levels in the process.
Be aware of toxic people in your environment
What can also be draining is dealing with energy vampires. They literally suck the life out of you.
People with way too much drama, constant complainers, gossipers, people with negative attitudes, and a “why me ” victim mentality.
Don’t get me wrong, you should always try to help your fellow humans.
However, if they have chronic reoccurring issues like the above mentioned, they need to figure it out for themselves.
There’s only so much you can do for them until you lose yourself in the process.
No one is dealt with a perfect life and we all have our struggles.
At the end of the day, it’s up to the individual to change from the inside out in order to change their circumstances.
More detail on how to do that here.
You are the sum of your peers. Surround yourself with high vibrating, positive, motivated, energetic people and watch how they cause you to vibrate at a higher level.
Energy cannot be destroyed it can only be transformed. So let your energy transform others or the energy of others transform you.
Cold and heat therapy to boost mitochondrial function
Mitochondria are the trillions of ancient bacterias that exist in our bodies. They are the battery banks of our energy systems.
Cold and heat therapy aka ice plunges and saunas are an amazing sequence to strengthen and boost your energy production in mitochondria.
Also, heat and cold exposure are positive stressors on your body which stimulates your body to get stronger and more resilient in a process called hormesis.
Exercise, fasting, and ketosis are also amazing forms of hormesis to try.
Finally, you also drain your lymphatic system with this process of heat and cold.
The fewer toxins in your body, the more energy you have as your body doesn’t have to spend energy to expel them.
This method should be done every second day or at least once a week for maximum benefits.
Go to sleep and rise according to your circadian rhythm
For 90% of us, we operate optimally when we go to sleep with the moon and rise with the sun.
Ever since the invention of the light bulb, humankind has been getting more and more out of sync with this natural flow.
We stay up way longer than we were designed to. If you must stay up late, invest in a good pair of blue-blocking glasses from Ra optical and wear them after sunset.
Also, try to avoid any form of electrical devices two hours before bed. They promote mental stimulation, therefore, causing our body’s to secrete cortisol, the stress hormone.
This suppresses melatonin production our main sleep hormone which will affect your sleep quality and your energy levels the next day.
Keep in mind most of us fit into this circadian rhythm type. However, there are people who follow a different schedule.
There are 4 chronotypes in total and you have to research the one that your body naturally belongs to.
Then follow that schedule. There’s an amazing book called “The power of when” by Michael Breus that describes chronotypes in great detail.
In summary, there are so many ways you can boost your energy and release toxins. These suggestions are just the tip of the iceberg to get you thinking about what else you can do to optimize your energy systems.
